AMD Ryzen “9” 9700X (Pre-release Error Chip)

Another IYKYK item – plenty of info out there on these, but in short the IHSes were mislabeled as “Ryzen 9” instead of 7, requiring AMD to claw back these chips resulting in a slight delay in their launch.

As far as I know this is the only such chip in the United States, and this is the only example I’ve seen to date in China. So definitely a very rare collector’s item.
